PANAMA CITY, Fla. - Holy Nativity Episcopal School acknowledged pets in a special way today.
Students and parents were invited to bring their furry friends to school.
News 13's Alex Thorson was there, and says the pets are all now feeling blessed.
Animals of different kinds, sizes, and colors gathered at Holy Nativity School in Panama City waiting in line to be blessed.
"It's wonderful, it's so much fun. The kids love to bring the pets and show them off to their friends and that we acknowledge how much we love them," Steve Bates, the school's chapel and director, said.
Each pet was individually blessed.
"Bless-o-lord, and fill the hearts of its owners with thanksgiving for its being."
Holy Nativity had their second animal blessing of the day Wednesday at 5:30.
They say they will continue the annual tradition in the coming years.
