PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - The man driving a motorcycle that killed his passenger used alcohol, methamphetamine, and oxycodone before he got behind the wheel, according to an arrest affidavit from Panama City Beach Police Department.
Beach Police officers said a James David Watson and Candi Bailey both of Dothan, Alabama, were traveling west on a motorcycle on Front Beach Road when they crashed early Monday morning.
The report states that Watson was impaired and most likely traveling over the 35 mile-per-hour speed limit when he attempted a right turn and crashed.
Bailey was killed in the crash. Watson is charged with DUI manslaughter. He is being held on a $25,000 bond.
