Panama City Police Officer Found Not Guilty in Careless Driving Case

PANAMA CITY, Fla. - The Panama City Police officer who struck and killed a pedestrian in downtown Panama City was found not guilty Tuesday. 

Officer Mark Bohrer was in civil traffic court Tuesday afternoon along with witnesses from law enforcement agencies all over Bay County. 

In March Officer Bohrer struck and killed 53 year old Craig Finch around 9:30 in the morning near Grace Avenue and 11th Street. FHP was called to the scene. Bohrer said the pedestrian "fell into the roadway". Finch was taken to Bay Medical where he later died from his injuries. 

Bohrer was found not guilty of careless driving at trial.
