PANAMA CITY, Fla. - A Panama City home was severely damaged in an early morning fire.
Panama City Firefighters responded to 917 Maple Avenue around 2:00 a.m. Saturday.
When crews arrived, they say heavy smoke was coming from the front of the house.
It took nearly three hours to get the fire under control, according to a press release.
Despite initial concerns that someone was trapped inside the home when the fire started, no one was home or injured.
The State Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the fire.
