PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - Panama City beach is a year round destination and the tourism numbers prove it.
With record breaking tourism for August, this month marks the 12th consecutive month of strong growth in Panama City Beach. Officials at the TDC say that June and July are their main season and usually prove the best numbers, but other months not during peak season are proving just as high.
The combination of the beautiful beaches and events in town have helped the city reach this increase in numbers.
"Throughout the end of August were 4% higher than we've ever been before for an entire fiscal year, so as we get the September numbers, it will just add to the growth that we've had over the best year which is just phenomenal," TDC President, Dan Rowe.
Rowe says they have seen growth every single month this year and expects that trend to continue through the end of 2017.
