OCSO: Teens Ransacked Home While Victim was Sleeping

Crestview, Fla. -  Patrols by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit resulted in the arrest of three Crestview residents in connection with an armed burglary to an occupied home, Okaloosa deputies wrote in a news release.

A deputy spotted three individuals in dark clothing walking through yards on North Pearl Street shortly before 1 a.m. on Sunday.

During his contact with them, he found items of suspected stolen jewelry and electronics, along with a loaded magazine containing 9mm ammunition, deputies wrote. A further search turned up a 9mm handgun on the ground where the deputy first made contact with the trio.
