Okaloosa County, Fla. - A shoplifting suspect trying to escape a Kmart employee with $1,200 in stolen goods accidentally left behind her purse and her identification during the getaway, deputies said Tuesday.
The incident happened Monday afternoon at a Kmart near Fort Walton Beach. Okaloosa deputies said the suspect's purse contained her identification and meth and drug paraphernalia.
Deputies arrested 30-year old Romana Pretty at her Green Street home shortly after the incident. They also arrested 33-year old Craig Brocketto, Petty's suspected getaway driver.
Pretty is charged with grand theft, resisting a merchant, using a tool to remove anti-theft devices from merchandise, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
