PANAMA CITY, Fla. - Valentines Day may be tomorrow, but babies at Gulf Coast Regional medical center got their Valentines Day treats one day early.
Staff at Gulf Coast Regional know it's tough to be in the hospital during the holidays so they try to do anything they can to better the stay of babies and parents.
Tuesday, special "lovebug" valentines made from the footprint of the each baby were distributed to the parents. Forever giving them a token to look back on their child's birth and their stay at Gulf Coast Regional.
"It feels really special. I didn't think we'd be in here for holidays but it definitely is appreciated and very heartwarming that they would do something like that," said New Mother, Nikki Thomas.
Parents say this craft is just the first of many they will do with their newborn in the coming years.
