Panama City Beach, Fla. - More information was released Wednesday about a Tuesday afternoon drowning in the Gulf of Mexico off Panama City Beach.
According to a Panama City Beach police report Terry Littles, 64, of Valparaiso, Ind., went into the water near the Dan Russell pier to retrieve a black tube float for a group of children.
While in the water Littles suddenly stopped swimming and began floating in the water.
Littles was pulled out of the water by rescue workers and pronounced dead at the scene. Beach police are investigating the incident.
