PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - Multiple agencies are looking for a possible missing swimmer behind the Regency Towers in Panama City Beach.
Bay County Sheriff's deputies received a call about a swimmer in distress around 5:50 p.m. Sunday.
Two deputies swam out towards the swimmer with one swimming about 100-yards past the second sand bar, but they lost sight of the person.
Officials said no one has been reported missing so they don't have any identification on the swimmer.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Officers and U.S. Coast Guard crews are assisting in the search.
