Marianna Police Searching for Shooting Suspect

MARIANNA, Fla. - Marianna police have arrested one suspect and are searching for another in a shooting that happened last week.

Police say 19-year-old Malik Widby shot at a vehicle as it drove past him at the corner of Evelyn Street and Friend Street. The driver took evasive action and was not hurt but the vehicle was struck multiple times, police wrote in a news release.

When he is located Widby will be charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Michael James, 26, was with Widby during the shooting. He has already been arrested and charged with aggravated assault, principal in the first degree and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
