FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. - An hours long standoff in Fort Walton Beach Friday night ended peacefully, but the suspect is now facing multiple charges.
Okaloosa County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a home on Doyce Drive around 9:00 p.m. because of a domestic dispute.
They said Michael Koch Boyd pointed a gun at his sister and threatened to kill her after she asked him to move out.
The sister safely left the house and called deputies. When deputies arrived, they said Boyd reportedly held his wife and another roommate captive inside the home.
Officials were in a stand-off with Boyd for several hours until he surrendered peacefully.
No one was injured in the incident.
Boyd was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail on assault and aggravated assault with a weapon charges.
