Lynn Haven Police Searching for Shooting Suspects

LYNN HAVEN, Fla. - Lynn Haven police are searching for two suspects in a Monday afternoon shooting.

In a news release, Lynn Haven Investigators said a black man was with a white man and a white woman in a vehicle in the Pinehurst Apartment Complex when he began to run away from them in a parking lot. The white man then get out of the vehicle and began shooting at the black man with a rifle, according to witnesses. The woman then took over driving duties, picked up the white man and the pair left the scene in a green SUV. 

Officers have not been able to find the suspects or the victim. They did find the driver of a silver sedan that was found yesterday behind another apartment complex. The driver told investigators he was visiting a resident of Pinehurst when the shooting began.  He stated his vehicle was struck by bullets as he was leaving the complex.

Crime scene investigators located 13 spent rifle casings and two live unfired rounds from the scene.  They were able to find where two buildings were struck by rounds as well as one additional vehicle.
