JCSO: Vigilante with pitchfork faces serious charges

MARIANNA, Fla. - A Greenwood man who allegedly took the law into his own hands is now facing serious charges.

Frederick Johnston is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, and armed burglary. Jackson County Sheriff's deputies wrote that Johnston held a man captive with a pitchfork and forced him to drive to a home in Marianna.

Once there Johnston cut another man's tires and stole one hundred and sixty dollars from his wallet.

Johnston was angry with both men because he believed they were responsible for a burglary at his home, deputies wrote.
