CARRYVILLE, Fla. - The search is over for a Carryville man who went missing last on October 3rd.
Law officers say the body of 49-year-old Bruce McCullough was found this Monday evening on Bear Hewett Landing Road in Holmes County.
A search had been underway since last week.
The Holmes County Sheriff's Office received help from the Jackson County sheriff's and other agencies.
Deputies said that the body was so badly decomposed that no gun shot wounds were found.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and medical examiners were called in to help with the case.
It is being investigated as a homicide.
"We won't have a cause of death until the autopsy is done. We currently are out serving a couple of search warrants on his residence and the neighbors residence which lives on the property with him as well as his vehicle to see if we can collect any kind of evidence," said Sheriff John Tate.
