HCSO: Student Arrested After Threatening to Shoot People at School

Holmes County, Fla. - Holmes County Sheriff's deputies say they arrested a juvenile after he threatened to bring a gun to Holmes County High School and shoot people. 

The parent of a 9th-grade student said the juvenile told her he was going to bring a gun to school and shoot people adding that she should not come to school the next day.

After interviewing the student and others investigators arrested him. 

The student is suspended from school by Holmes District Schools and will not be allowed back on campus, deputies added.

Extra deputies are onsite at HCHS throughout the day for precautionary reasons to ensure the safety of the students and staff, officials added.
