JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. - A Greenwood man was tased after he allegedly led Jackson County Sheriff's deputies on a high speed chase across the county.
Deputies said they attempted to stop Danny Hall, 21, Saturday night at the intersection of Highway 71 and Highway two for an expired tag, but Hall didn't stop.
During a high-speed chase chase, they reported Hall managed to get around a roadblock, accelerated quickly towards deputies, and slammed on his brakes twice trying to get the pursuing deputies to hit him.
On highway 162, they said Hall ran over a set of spike strips but continued driving on the rims of his vehicle until he lost control of his vehicle and slid into a ditch.
Deputies said Hall refused verbal commands and they broke the side windows to remove him from the vehicle. They added Hall continued to fight them during the handcuffing process so they tased him in order to bring him into compliance.
