Update: Name of FWC officer shot released, two suspects arrested

PANAMA CITY, Fla. - A Florida Fish and Wildlife officer is in stable condition after being shot . Two suspects in the shooting are in custody, Bay County Sheriff's deputies said Friday.

FWC spokesperson Bekah Nelson says the officer is David Brady. He was treated and released. 

The incident led to a chaotic afternoon in downtown Panama City and the Cove area as dozens of law enforcement officers searched for the suspects. Efforts focused on local streets and waterways after the suspects stole the officers boat. 

Deputies says the suspects stole Officer Brady's boat after the shooting. FWC says it started near "the pass". The boat was beached along Beach Drive and Cherry Street in the Cove area and abandoned. Brady made it to the Panama City Marina where he was taken to a local hospital.

The names of the suspects and the officer have not been released.
