Former Little League Coach Faces Manufacturing Child Porn Charges

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. - A former DeFuniak Springs Little League coach arrested in September is now facing even more charges following accusations he was soliciting parents and offering them thousands of dollars in exchange for sex with their children.

Jason Hughes, 27, is now facing charges of manufacturing child pornography as well as felony domestic battery by strangulation. Walton County Sheriff's officials said they are still processing evidence in the case. But the more they uncover, the more allegations are unfolded.

"This type of case with an individual that preys on individuals that he knows as well as just people that he runs across is one that's disturbing for me personally," said Investigator Benjamin Dowdy. "Just because having interviewed this individual, he clearly shows that his interests are solely selfish."

Officials say more charges may follow pending the outcome of the investigation.
