CRAB ISLAND, Fla. - The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating a fatal boat crash.
"One of four people onboard this boat died following an apparent collision with an object in Choctawhatchee Bay near Crab Island around 12:30 a.m.," Okaloosa County Sheriff's deputies wrote on their Facebook page. "OCSO deputies responded to help render aid. Two others transported to FWB Medical Center. FWC is investigating the incident. Our condolences go out to the victim's family."
FWC officials say Jackie C. Mott was driving the boat and that Anthony J. Jarab was killed in the crash. They added that the boat hit a channel marker which caused the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
