The owners and employees of a local funeral home are being sued in civil court.
Seven people whose loved ones were supposed to be cremated at Brock's Hometown Funeral Home in Callaway are accusing the owners and employees of general negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, interference with a dead body, breach of contract and deceptive and unfair trade practices.
The funeral home closed in August and two people - Gregory Dunphy and Felicia Boesch - were arrested when authorities found decomposing bodies in the facility. The bodies, some of which sat there for months, were either supposed to be cremated or kept in refrigeration.
Johnny Brock and Don Glenn were also named as defendants in the lawsuit along with Dunphy and Boesch.
The criminal cases against Dunphy and Boesch are still open.
