Parade floats light the night at Pier Park in Panama City Beach on a Saturday.

"My children, my grandchildren; they enjoyed being out here and as a matter of fact Pier Park has become a center and focal point for all those type of activities," said Grandparent Rick Bacon.

The Optimist club of the Beaches hosted the 36th Annual Christmas Beach Parade.

Dozens of families like Mr.Bacon's all lined the streets to see Santa Claus.

But the kiddies saw Santa not once, but twice.

"I never got to talk to him but I waved and said Merry Christmas!," said Jamie.

The kids have their Christmas list ready for what they want under the tree.

"A bike!" said Emma.

"A trampoline!" added Jordan.

It's a big night for them.

Not only did they get a glimpse of jolly Old Saint Nick, but they took home some candy too.

"I got so many right there, I got so many!," said Jamie.

Now that the parade is all wrapped up, parents are already looking forward to celebrating the new year at Pier Park.

"In twenty-one days we get to watch that ball come down on New Year's Eve," said Bacon.

That beach ball celebration tower was built over the summer, and this year will be the first time it drops.

Events like the PCB Christmas Parade also brings in donations, which are given to child cancer programs.
