BAY COUNTY, Fla. - Wednesday morning we saw some severe flooding on local roadways, and storm conditions were still being felt on the beach Thursday.
Double red flags closed the water off to swimmers, there isn't as much water as there was before but still a significant amount remains and isn't expected to disappear until tomorrow.
"The rain yesterday morning, that also had a lot to do with it. The rain and the surf combined just made a mess out here. The whole beach, in spots was just water. Some 4-5 feet in depth in spots" said Beach Services, Mark Myhra.
The extent if the erosion caused by yesterday's storm isn't clear but if you visit the beach be sure to look out for small sinkholes that may have formed.
