COTTONDALE, Fla. - A Panama City man was killed and his passenger was seriously injured when their car was t-boned getting off the interstate in Jackson County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said James William Martin, 67, was getting off I-10 at Highway 231 around 12:40 p.m. Sunday. They said Martin pulled out in front of Ford Escape, driven by Breanna Ayre Owens, 21, of Kennesaw, Georgia.
Martin's car was t-boned, which caused it roll over.
Martin was pronounced dead on scene. His passenger Ellyn Martin, 56, was taken to Jackson Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
Owens received minor injuries in the crash.
Troopers said the wreck is still under investigation and haven't filed any citations or charges at this time.
