MARY ESTHER, Fla. - A seven-week-old baby who was found deceased after being left in a family vehicle for nearly eight hours July 2nd was identified by the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Thursday.
The baby's name is Timothy Christopher McCoy of Romana Lane, Mary Esther.
"The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation and will release details at the appropriate time," officials wrote in a news release.
The OCSO received a 911 call around 9:30 p.m. last Sunday, after Timothy was discovered dead inside a van at a family member’s Mary Esther home. The family member reportedly was not aware that the child’s mother had placed the baby in a rear-facing car seat inside a van after church Sunday.
