Holmes County officials and the owner of Vortex Springs thought a charity organization that assisted food pantries was coming to town.
But 'Pass the Good' was actually a drug-fueled music festival, deputies wrote in a news release.
"Vorttex Springs said a group that called themselves “Pass the Good”, who misrepresented themselves claiming to help local food pantries, had rented the property of Vortex Springs for the weekend for a music festival," officials wrote. "Vortex Springs expressed their concerns about the group and the type of following they were attracting."
So, more deputies including those dressed in plain clothes were assigned to the area on Saturday and Sunday. The deputies made 11 arrests.
“We will not tolerate these kind of groups thinking they are going to a have this type of festival in Holmes County," said Capt. John Tate. "The people in attendance and the ones that were arrested were from outside of Holmes County.”
