Chipley, Fla. - The man accused of shooting a Chipley restaurant owner seven times was found guilty Wednesday following a two-day trial.
Emmanuel Lockhart, 21, of Cottondale was convicted of burglary of a structure with a firearm, attempted first-degree murder and attempted robbery with a firearm.
On July 10, Jody Rhoda, the owner of the Colonial Restaurant, was closing Lockhart came in a back door and shot her several times. The shooting began as a disagreement over money Lockhart owed, prosecutors said.
Lockhart will be sentenced in June.
