CHIPLEY, Fla. - A Chipley man is charged with murder in the stabbing death of a man at an assisted living facility.
Washington County Sheriff's deputies say the owner of Tropical Paradise Assisted Living Facility called them around 6:45 p.m. last night to report one client attacked another.
When deputies arrived, they say Christopher Brett Kelley, 34, immediately told them quote "I killed him" and had blood on his hands and clothing.
They then found the victim Wendell Holmes, 53, in the facility with multiple stab wounds.
Investigators said the suspect believed the victim stole money from him.
Kelley was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail.
