CALLAWAY, Fla. - The Bay County Sheriff's Office's Project 25 charity event wrapped up this evening in Callaway.
Almost 1,000 children were shopped for this year.
Each year, tens of thousands of dollars are raised for months before the day of the event.
The 37th annual night of giving invited locals to shop for children's Christmas presents at Callaway's Walmart.
Every family was given a child to shop for, and an amount to spend.
On Tuesday night, hundreds of volunteers showed up to shop. Organizers said the evening was a success.
"I cannot believe all the people who showed up to shop tonight. This is absolutely amazing. I am so happy," Becky Johns with the Bay County Sheriff's Office, said.
If you weren't able to shop Tuesday, the sheriff's office will still be accepting donations for the cause until Christmas Eve.
