Looking to get rid of some old junk laying around your home? Bay County wants to help you clean up.

The county is getting ready to host their bi-annual Waste Amnesty Days next weekend.

As long as you're a resident, you can bring your trash to the Bay County landfill for free on Friday, September 30 and Saturday October 1 from 7:00am-4:30pm.

The county has been hosting Waste Amnesty Days for several years to help keep Bay County clean.

"We just want to encourage people to clean up around their properties. We'll take just about anything at Waste Amnesty Days, which is really interesting. We'll take anything with the exception of explosives so if you've got old tires around your place or you've got, you know, yard debris, trash, garbage, just about anything that you can bring us," said Valerie Sale, Bay County Public Information Officer.
