A Bay District teacher is under investigation on allegations of abuse.

Bay District Schools Human Resource Director, Sharon Michalik, says Amanda Austin no longer works with the district. The disciplinary records detailing the actions will not be public record until ten days after their creation.

Austin was a pre-k ESE teacher at Waller Elementary. The parents of the four-year-old boy at the center of the investigation allege that their son's shoes were taped on his feet so tight it left bruising.

Michalik would not comment other than to say the incident is under investigation by the department of children and families.

The department of children and families would not comment on what they are calling an ongoing investigation. The Bay County Sheriff's Office says they are looking into the case.
