Bay County Encourages Voter Registration

BAY COUNTY, Fla. - Bay County is making sure its residents are prepared to vote in upcoming elections. Wednesday was National Voter Registration Day.

Bay County participated by opening up a dozen locations around the county for people to go and register or update their voter information. Bay County Supervisor of Elections Mark Andersen said the day was a success and it's never too early to register.

"The whole goal is to get people to always be thinking about their registration and if they have registered and they need to update something, don't wait. It's better to get it updated and make sure it's set and ready to go. If we were to have a special election or something like that of that nature then you would be ready to go." said Andersen.

If you didn't get the chance to register yesterday you can call the bay county supervisor of elections or starting October 1st you can register online at
