Annual "Cove Boys' Fishing Tournament Benefits Local Community

PANAMA CITY, Fla. - Raising big money and catching big fish was the goal Saturday at the St. Andrew Bay Yacht Club.

The annual "Cove Boys" fishing tournament fishing for a cause benefits the Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center. Between donations from local businesses and tournament entry fees, they were able to raise more than $5,000. The tournament kicked off with with more than 220 fisherman participating. 

"So six or seven friends just tried to find a way to bring everybody back together. We found an amazing charity, the Children's Advocacy Center to be able to donate money to and we've raised money for that charity for the last three or four years," said Cove Boys member Jay Arthur.
