An American Airlines flight from Pensacola to Miami made an emergency landing at Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport Wednesday morning after the pilots noticed smoke in the cockpit.
No injuries have been reported.
"American Eagle Flight 3260, operated by Envoy Air, from Pensacola to Miami, diverted to Panama City after an indicator light in the cockpit reported a possible mechanical issue. The aircraft landed safely, and taxied to the gate," American Airlines officials wrote in a statement to News 13. "Passengers are en route to Destin–Fort Walton Beach Airport via bus, where a replacement aircraft will continue their journey to Miami. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience."
