PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - A new program is taking off again this summer.
The Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is launching Super Summer Saturdays. As part of the program, Southwest will offer non-stop service to Austin, Chicago, St. Louis, Nashville, Baltimore, and Dallas. There will also be a non-stop flight to Denver.
Delta and United will upgrade their planes to fit more passengers.
"Southwest has recognized that, as have the other airlines by bigger airplanes and more frequency, and that's what we've worked 8 years to do," said Parker McClellan, the executive director of the airport. "And the airport just celebrated 8 years so, what a great way to have an 8th birthday."
The program begins Saturday June 9th.
