FHP: Alcohol a factor in head-on wreck in Panama City Beach

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla - Update:
 
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said alcohol was a factor in a fiery head-on crash Saturday night that shut down a Panama City Beach roadway for several hours.
 
The wreck happened around 11:00 p.m. on Highway 98 near Gainous Road.
 
Troopers said Paul Anthony Oalde, 51, of Freeport was driving a Nissan 350Z the wrong way on the highway when he hit a Ford F-150 truck, driven by Ryan Kirk, 30, of Panama City Beach.
 
The impact caused then truck to rotate and rollover then catch fire.
 
Kirk was treated at Bay Medical Sacred Heart for minor injuries.
 
Oalde was taken to Bay Medical with serious injuries.
 
Troopers said charges in this wreck are pending further investigation.
