BAY COUNTY, Fla. - The ladies at the Glencove health and rehabilitation center are raising awareness of breast cancer.
Thursday was the second annual "Bras Across the Dock". Bras are decorated by residents and strung together across the dock to show support for those impacted by breast cancer.
Ladies from the Red Hat Society all gathered on the decorated dock and listened to music and enjoyed refreshments during the event. Breast cancer affects people of all ages and this cause is a close one to their hearts.
"Breast cancer affects a lot of people and even if you haven't experienced it yourself, there's usually someone in your family, or a friend or a neighbor. It's just they so enjoy doing community outreaches where they can actually give back to the community," said Life Enrichment Director, Janet Rogers.
So far Glencove has raised a little over five hundred dollars towards breast cancer awareness which is already double of what they raised last year.
