Therapy for Stroke Patients

PANAMA CITY, Fla. - Getting dressed in the morning, using the bathroom, and driving to work are all tasks part of our daily routine.
For stroke patients though, those tasks are now challenging.

In our last segment of stroke awareness, we show you a mock therapy session to show you what stroke patients go through to recover from the disabling brain attack.

Every patient is different, but most spend at least three months in therapy.

If you think you or someone else is having a stroke, call 911 immediately. Doctors advise against driving yourself to the hospital.

Signs of a stroke include facial drooping, weakness in your arm, trouble speaking, and even dizziness or balance issues. Health professionals refer to the signs using the acronym, FAST.
